Learn how to run Logswarm on the desktop or with Docker, configure servers and regex patterns from scratch, and use every search and filter control in the UI.

1. Getting started

   Choose Desktop or Docker and take the shortest path to your first search.

2. Desktop (Electron)

   Install and run the Logswarm desktop app with the embedded server.

3. Docker (self-hosted)

   Run the self-hosted server edition with Docker Compose and a persistent data volume.

4. Configure from scratch

   License, servers, directories, presets, and regex — the setup order that unlocks Search in.

5. Search the logs

   Simple and Complex modes, Search in targets, advanced options, and session history.

6. Column filters

   What each result-column filter does and how it relates to named regex groups.

7. Regex patterns

   Build extraction patterns with capturing groups, timestamp format, and copy-paste examples.
